SmartMeal AI is a meal-planning app. It helps users turn ingredients, preferences, pantry items, and household profiles into recipe ideas, meal plans, cooking steps, and grocery lists.
Information SmartMeal Uses
- Meal preferences, avoidances, pantry items, grocery lists, and meal plans you save in the app.
- An app install identifier used for purchase validation and AI quota checks.
- Ingredient, pantry, and household profile details needed to generate paid AI meal suggestions, only after the in-app AI privacy permission is enabled.
- Health-related planning data. Height, weight, activity, and goal inputs stay on device; wellness-derived calorie and protein targets may be included in an opted-in AI request.
- Purchase history needed to validate Apple StoreKit transactions, preserve AI credit balances, and provide subscription access.
AI Data Sharing
Paid AI actions may send request details—including meal preferences, pantry items, household profile content, and wellness-derived calorie or protein planning targets—to the SmartMeal AI service and its third-party AI provider, OpenAI where configured, to produce recipe ideas, meal plans, grocery optimization, or reports. This data is linked to a pseudonymous app identifier for App Functionality and is not used for tracking. You can turn AI privacy off in the app's You tab. Local recipe suggestions and local planning remain available without this permission.
Retention And Deletion
Meal preferences, pantry items, grocery lists, wellness inputs, and saved plans are stored on your device unless you remove or reset them in the app. The service stores an aggregate AI credit usage count and subscription-access records linked to a pseudonymous app identifier so purchases remain available and cannot be credited twice. SmartMeal does not store meal, profile, or health request content in this purchase ledger. To request deletion of server-side support or ledger records associated with your app identifier, contact keobong975110@gmail.com.
Purchases
Subscriptions and AI credit packs are processed by Apple. SmartMeal AI verifies Apple-signed StoreKit transactions with its secure server and stores the Apple product identifier, transaction identifiers, purchase and expiry status, and pseudonymous access records needed to reconcile credit packs and restore subscription access. This Purchase History is linked for App Functionality, is not sold, and is not used for tracking or advertising.
Tracking And Advertising
SmartMeal AI does not track users across apps or websites, does not sell personal data, and does not use meal data for third-party advertising.
Health And Nutrition
Health-related inputs and derived calorie or protein targets are used only for meal-planning estimates. Derived targets are sent to AI only after permission is enabled. SmartMeal AI is not medical, nutrition, or health advice.
